A resort island of
the Philippines, Cebu is a paradise for sun worshipers and holiday
makers only an hour's flight away from Manila. Cebu City is known
as the Queen City of the South. Cebu indeed is an island of
endless delights. One can marvel at white sand beaches, preserved
dive sites, imposing centuries-old Spanish churches, artistically
designed furniture, the famous golden, sweet mango fruit and
pleasantly warm climate all year round.
Moalboal is one of
the towns of the Province of Cebu on the Southwestern coast of the
island. Touted as a dive town, it is a mere two hours and a half
from the International Airport with several public transportation
options available. Despite its fame, it remains to be relatively
free from mass tourism even as it has several regular guests who
come back because of the ideal diving conditions and the tropical
ambience. It has warm diving water at 26 to 29 degrees C and can
accommodate guests of varying budgets. Food is generally very
affordable and offers casual nightlife.
